The Banking & Finance sector contributed easily the most entrants to this year’s Arabian Business Expat Power 50.

A total of 11 representatives from the sector made the list, and Banking & Finance figures monopolised the top three slots with Qatar Investment Authority exec Anthony Armstrong, Dubai World restructuring chief Aidan Birkett, and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s Jean Paul Villain.

The next most prominent sectors were Media & Marketing, and Transport, which each accounted for seven entrants.

Abu Dhabi Media Company CEO Edward Borgerding was the top-placed Media & Marketing figure, at six, with Etihad Airways CEO James Hogan the leading representative from the Transport sector, in ninth place.

There are a total of 14 nationalities represented in this year’s list, working in 13 sectors across the six GCC states.

Arabian Business has excluded any Arabs from the list as they would qualify for the Arab Power List, published annually.
