Regardless of the country central banks keep the details of their assets a closely guarded secret, so it is hard to confirm this story. Although in a world with oil priced 7 times higher than cost of extraction in Saudi Arabia and a increasingly battered US$ it would be surprising if the Saudi's were not adding to their gold position - the US$ they receive has to put somewhere, it seems no longer to be going to US Treasuries or Sovereign Wealth funds, ego some (or a lot) must be going into gold.

what a disgrace. Proves there is one rule for the rich and another for the rest of the population. I wonder how many years he will actually serve? My guess would be less than 2 and then get someone to serve his sentence for him..

What is the point with this tramway anyway??! Who is going to use it?? The residents in dubai marina will probably never use a tramway, let's be realistic! For laborers and service staff they're better off adding a bus lane and increasing the number of buses. Now everybody will have to suffer disruption until 2014. Good job RTA, as usual you never get it right...

We accept that there are issues in Dubai in funding the tram. This has been evident in the lack of work for more than one year. Surely a small budget can be found to return the trees and plants and review the traffic barrier arrangements which impede traffic flows until the RTA has the capacity to restart these important works. Residents of the Marina pay a beautification levy in their charges and those on the major roads should again have safety and beauty available.

When can we get our money back? Dubai promised to build, we accepted the promise and paid in advance lots of money as initial deposits. Now, projects are cancelled, companies are going out of business and we still do not have a clear vision on when we will get our money back. Our calls are going unanswered, no one want to meet with us. CEOs and Chairmans sit in their fancy offices that were financed by people like me telling us to wait or to just go away. Well, we wont go away, I have been waiting now for 3 years and I want to end this fiasco NOW. ENOUGH LIES.

I saw a great report from Isthmus Partners about how issues with off-plan properties can be resolved (available from their website www.isthmuspartners.ae). It goes into what happened and why it happened - somewhat sobering reading. Anyway, it also talks about solutions, which are hard to come by. The solutions they offer require a lot of work from all the people involved, but maybe everyone should wake up and try to get things sorted.

The MAIN reason behind the poll showing the WESTERN Expats saving MORE than the ASIAN Expats is the salary package. Think about it - Western Expats get a lot of EXTRA benefits, like housing, schooling, cars, etc... (not all though), and yet, a lot of ASIAN Expats have to do with lower salary, thanks to their background. They also have to deal with salary cuts, non-payment at times, and feeding families back in their home countries. Oh, and lets not forget that a LOT of ASIAN Expats prob have to pay for their visa formalities too, I might add. If this POLL ain't skewed, then what is...??!!

My money has been held with Deyaar since 2007, I have no means of getting my money back, Deyaar wants to give me an apartment in the middle of nowhere to compensate me, which I refuse categorically. What shall I do and where shall I go to get my money from cancelled projects???

Having read this news, I looked up RERA website to see if there was a list of cancelled projects, but alas, there is no such list to be found there. Why such secrecy for not publicly listing the cancelled projects? RERA please help us, the lonely investors who are supposed to be the drivers of growth of the property sector but are being totally ignored and not supported.

Each of us in Saudi Kayan feel proud on successfull completion of important milestones one after the other. Exemplary team work and resultant commitment is behind this steady progress and very promising success.

Good that governement cancelled projects, which is not started yet and make a small contribution to deduct the surplus of houses. Are there any consideration for those who invested at the peak. The goverment should discuss this subject with developers and finance house/banks to make it more easy.

Breastfeeding for baby children is the best way to promote healthy growth. But with so many American women passing up on breastfeeding for career or medical reasons, infants are forced toward a different food source. Thus, formula feeding has become a multi-billion-dollar industry.
I found this here: Similac recall 2010 What every parent should knowWhen something like the Similac recall 2010 comes along, the implications are even more frightening under current circumstances. Abbott Laboratories, the parent company for Similac baby formula, has been less than forthcoming with details, which has frustrated hundreds of thousands of parents.
