Peter Warner joined Petrofac's engineering and construction division in 2000 as head of the divison's sales and marketing function and is a member of the division's board.
Today he is the CEO of Petrofac Emirates, a 50/50 joint venture between Petrofac International and the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala, which was established in November 2008, and which is anticipated will prove a hugely lucrative relationship for the energy services firm.
The firm specialises in refining and petrochemical projects in the UAE and provides engineering, design and employment services to the oil and gas sector. And with one of the world's largest oil reserves waiting to be extracted from under Abu Dhabi, these should be golden times for Petrofac and Warner.
In July last year the company was awarded a $2.1bn contact for the construction of the fourth NGL train at the Ruwais complex in Abu Dhabi. Warner recently confirmed that the project was on schedule.
Prior to joining Petrofac Warner held various sales and marketing positions at Davy McKee, KBR and Stone & Webster. Warner is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer in the UK. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from St John's College, Cambridge University.
