Musanada to head a 1.494 billion pioneering school development project

Musanada has announced that it has obtained the budget approval to replace unfit schooling facilities with 15 state of the art schools. The pioneering project is split into 6 tender packages and was awarded to 5 separate contractors.
The 1.494 billion dirham project is the first phase of a multi-billion dirham plan to build 100 schools in the coming 10 years with the vision of raising the level of education in Abu Dhabi.
The project’s main objectives are to build schools where urgently needed, such as in remote areas, and to replace existing 25 year-old schools and caravans with modern facilities that meet international standards, enriching the students’ learning experience, and remodel the structure of current schools to support development of the new educational curriculum.
Musanada presented a pioneering design for the new facilities, with the aim to achieve a design rating of 3 pearls as per Estidama guidelines. – a first for schools in the Emirate.
Regarding this, Engineer Ali Al Mehairbi, Construction Director commented: “We have worked closely with ADEC and UPC to set and refine criteria for the design of the new schools. It is only through such commitment and collaboration between partners that we can achieve excellence and the 2030 vision and objectives of the Abu Dhabi Government.”
The design of the new schools will reflect ADEC’s philosophy of providing world-class educational standards and, encouraging all students to maximize their potential by providing diverse learning environments. This new design will set high standards for the implementation of all new schools in the future, creating an unparalleled educational environment.
