New Technology of Endoscopic Laser Surgery for Prostate Enlargement in Saudi German Hospital – Dubai

Diod Laser Surgery is the new treatment procedure for Prostate enlargement, now available at the Saudi German Hospital, Dubai. The significance of the Laser- Transurethral Procedure (TURP) is that it shrinks the size of the prostate back to normal, relieving the patients off the micturition problems associated with enlarged prostate. The enlarged portion of the prostrate is removed by vaporising it from the inside of the urethra using a Diod Laser Fibre, inserted through a Cystoscope. The other benefits of the laser-TURP include less blood loss, quick surgery, short period of hospitalisation, fast post-operative recovery and the overall cost is much lesser than the conventional TURP.
“Patients treated with this technology in Europe and SGH-Dubai report high-efficiency and satisfaction,” says Dr.Raschid Hoda, Associate Professor and Consultant Urologist in SGH-Dubai.
