Varian Medical Systems team has always been a pioneer and a leader within the business community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for more than thirty years ago when the first Radiotherapy cancer treatment system installed.
However, many reasons encouraged us to choose Saudi Arabia to establish a strong Joint Venture with our local partner to partner with the efforts of fighting cancer diseases.
First, the endless government support to boost and stimulate healthcare standards and regulations. Second, the announced mega projects including the five medical cities and cancer Centers. Third, the healthy business environment and support we found through ‘Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority’ (SAGIA).
On top of that we have always proud of the long lasting partnership with all the local organizations who keep fighting cancer and saving lives. We will have a great chance to transfer the latest Varian technologies through the existing projects as well as the future coming projects.
The won of the first Proton Therapy treatment center, at King Fahad Medical City, in the Middle East and the second one in Asia after Japan confirm our presence in the local as well as the regional market. Such treatment facility project size of multi hundreds millions Saudi Riyals represents unique collaboration between the governmental organization, Ministry of Health and King Fahad Medical City, from one side and the private sector, Saudi Particle Therapy Centre and Varian Medical Systems, from the other side. We are ready to partner with the government for similar future missions for saving lives of cancer patients. In fact, we are proud to offer all our innovative clinical technologies and capabilities to Saudi Arabian Market.
With the support of the government towards healthcare sector through expenditures and private sector engagement, the announcements of the mega projects including the medical cities and cancer treatment centers around the country encouraged us to be very close to the decision making process. Accordingly, we have established our spare parts depot in Riyadh and opened the office of Varian Medical Systems Arabia too. From Riyadh and across the kingdom of Saudi Arabia we provide innovative, high quality products and services for patients, customers in healthcare and Digital Imaging. Our solutions include Radiosurgery, Radiotherapy, Proton Therapy, Brachytherapy as well as professional services and programs for work flows enhancements, training, education, installation & Implementation planning and projects management.
