Canadian Specialist Hospital signs MoU with UAE Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces

Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH), one of the leading private sector hospitals in the UAE, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UAE’s Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces for the Homat Al Watan (‘Protectors of the Nation’) privilege card. Under an agreement signed with the UAE Ministry of Defence, CSH will offer its suite of services at special rates to affiliates of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces.

We in CSH commend the selflessness and exceptional service of the UAE Armed Forces and other military personnel, as well as their sense of duty and nationalism,” said Dr. Yashar Ali, Acting CEO & Chief Medical Officer of CSH.
The card was launched at an Armed Forces ceremony held recently in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The card will offer exclusive privileges and preferential rates to the employees, civilian employees and retirees of the UAE Armed Forces. Top companies in the UAE partnered with Ministry of Defence to extend similar privileges.
“Signing for the Homat Al Watan is our hospital’s way of saying thank you to all the armed forces for their unconditional service and dedication towards the people in UAE. This is in line with our commitment to provide the highest quality of medical services which is built on values of compassion, respect and integrity,” stated Dr. Yashar.
The Homat Al Watan card includes 62 companies and organizations providing benefits including social services, education, health and transportation, among others. The card is given to those who have completed at least six months of service in the military.
Canadian Specialist Hospital offers state-of-the-art diagnostic, curative and rehabilitative care to all. CSH on a regular basis conducts free consultations and checkups for patients in UAE. Apart from that the hospital also conducts awareness programmes on various illnesses.
“Our partnership with the UAE Ministry of Defence will enable our military to have privileged access to the CSH quality of healthcare. Along with our consistent focus on evidence-based medicine and world-class medical care, we also make it a priority to utilize our resources and expertise to address the concerns of our patients in and around the region,” added Dr.Yashar.
Last year, CSH also pledged its support for the ‘Absher’ initiative, launched in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to enhance the participation of UAE citizens in the labour market. Under this agreement signed with the UAE Ministry of Labour, CSH offered several services at special rates to UAE citizens who have registered themselves within this particular initiative.
