Formwork and scaffolding manufacturer Peri was founded in Germany in 1969 and has since expanded its presence all over the world. The company now has 48 subsidiaries in over 65 countries including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, India and Australia. The range of equipment offered by the firm includes formwork girders, panel and wall formwork, column formwork, slab formwork, climbing scaffold, platform systems, self-climbing formwork, shoring, slab props, as well as anchoring systems. In addition, the company has 850 engineers worldwide who work closely with customers to meet individual needs. The Millau viaduct in southwest France and Qatar’s Barwa Commercial Avenue are some of the developments in the company’s project portfolio. The company also provided a formwork and scaffolding solution for the 1445m-long Saadiyat Bridge in Abu Dhabi. The systems included two sets of VARIO GT 24 side formwork (wall formwork with adjustable connections), a 7.76 wide, forward inclined VARIO formwork element with integrated working platforms, as well as a reverse-inclined raised formwork unit. The high concrete loads were carried on the externally positioned reverse-inclined formwork mounted on a shoring system.
