With a century old tradition behind it, DORMA has continued to globally supply the construction industry with high end products from its five divisions, covering; door controls, automatics, glass fittings and accessories, STA (security, time and access) and moveable walls.

The company’s product divisions are ideally matched to one another, affording a maximum of design scope in project planning and implementation and all backed by a service and maintenance team. Having started in Germany in the early 1900’s, DORMA now operates from 47 different countries through 71 wholly owned companies and the manpower of approximately 6600 international employees.

DORMA Gulf FZE, the company’s headquarters located in Dubai, oversees the control of Middle East operations, while providing support to local offices in Abu Dhabi, KSA, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar. DORMA provides solutions for literally every opening in a building.

This year its projects in the region included the UAE’s Burj Khalifa and Meydan Racecourse, where the company supplied products from all its divisions. It also worked on Princess Noora University in Saudi Arabia; where it supplied Modernfold operable partitions and European range of door hardware, the Qatar Education City Convention Centre, which it equipped with products from four of its five divisions, and the Ministry of Higher Education offices all over Saudi Arabia, where it fitted the ANSI range of door hardware.

The company’s latest products include the MOVEO & HSW Comfortdrive fully automatic partition system, KTV-Secure automatic revolving doors, DORMA TA Series door accessories, CS80 Magneo automatic sliding door operator, with ‘SoftMotion’ safety for interior applications and Agile 150 Dormotion sliding door system.
