Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) is a wholly owned government factory strategically located at the recently developed Industrial City of Abu Dhabi. The factory is the largest steel plant in the UAE, utilising the latest rolling mill technology to produce reinforcing bars for the construction industry.

Now nine years old, the company has since met the growing demand for quality steel products for the UAE's construction sector, and is the only significant domestic supplier of deformed reinforcing steel bars. The rolling mill has a design capacity of 600,000 tonnes of rebar per year and the company is currently running at full capacity.

Using the latest steel rolling mill technology and equipment, it produces rebar conforming to British Standard BS4449/97 Grade 60 in sizes from 10m to 32mm.

ESI has been involved in prestigious projects such as the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the Corniche Development project, the Dubai Marina Towers, Shangri La Hotel in Dubai, the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha, Qatar and water and power projects in Sharjah and Fujairah amongst many others.
