Bathroom fittings and shower manufacturer, Hansgrohe reiterated its commitment to the region with the opening of new offices in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the year. This is the second representative office in the GCC for the company, which also recently opened a new 418m² showroom on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road. Hansgrohe, which was established in Schiltach, Germany in 1901, is now represented in 34 countries around the world. A philosophy of creating innovative, sustainable products has secured Hansgrohe with a place in some of the region’s most prestigious projects, including the Burj Khalifa and Emirates Palace. The company’s environmentally-friendly products were also used in the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. Metris S Electronic fittings and Raindance EcoSmart handheld showers were selected for the project because of their clean lines, durability and infrared electronic proximity technology. With the Metris S Electronic collection, Hansgrohe has managed to combine the advantages of two separate technologies – infrared and EcoSmart – resulting in the efficient use of both water and energy. The innovative Hansgrohe EcoSmart technology makes for very economical consumption by limiting water flow to a maximum of 5.7 liters per minute.
