Jordanian Imad Fakhoury is the man charged with turning the sleepy port town of Aqaba in Jordan to a buzzing international port. Fakhoury was responsible for the plan that created the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), but took over as CEO of the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) in 2005. ADC was set up by ASEZA to develop and carry out the 20-year project that would change the face of the port city. In the eight years since he began working for ADC has attracted $18bn of investment for infrastructure development, transport, industry, education and services sectors.
